Day 01
Airport → Negombo
Arrive in Sri Lanka and transfer to Negombo, a charming coastal town near the airport. Explore the city’s highlights including the lively Fish Market, colonial-era St. Mary’s Church, and Negombo Beach, where you can relax and watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and prepare for the journey ahead. Overnight stay in Negombo.
Day 02
Negombo → Anuradhapura & Mihintale
Travel north to explore the UNESCO World Heritage City of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first ancient capital. Discover massive stupas, sacred temples, and the holy Bodhi Tree. Later, visit Mihintale, known as the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, where panoramic views and ancient ruins await. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
Day 03
Anuradhapura → Polonnaruwa → Minneriya → Sigiriya
Start with the Aukana Buddha Statue and Kala Wewa Reservoir before exploring Polonnaruwa, the island’s medieval capital and a UNESCO site filled with temples and royal ruins. In the afternoon, join an optional jeep safari at Minneriya National Park to see wild elephants before heading to Sigiriya. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 04
Sigiriya → Kandy
Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress or Pidurangala Rock for stunning views, then enjoy a traditional village safari. Visit the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple, an Ayurvedic spice garden, and Matale’s colorful Hindu Temple. Arrive in Kandy for a traditional cultural dance show in the evening. Day 05
Kandy City Tour
Spend the day exploring Kandy, visiting Asgiriya Temple, Bahirawakanda Big Buddha, and the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Day 06
Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Day 07
Nuwara Eliya → Horton Plains → Ella
Visit the Seetha Amman Temple and explore the UNESCO-listed Horton Plains National Park, home to the breathtaking “World’s End” viewpoint. Later, take one of Asia’s most scenic train rides from Ohiya to Demodara, passing tea plantations and mountain tunnels. Overnight stay in Ella.
Day 08
Ella → Tissamaharama → Yala
Discover Ella’s highlights — Nine Arches Bridge, Ravana Falls, and Little Adam’s Peak. Adventure seekers can try the Flying Ravana zip line. Visit the ancient Tissamaharama Temple and nearby lake before continuing to Yala for an overnight stay near the national park.
Day 09
Yala → Mirissa → Galle
Start with an early morning safari in Yala National Park to spot elephants, leopards, and exotic birds. Travel south to Mirissa for seasonal whale watching, visit Coconut Tree Hill, and relax on Mirissa Beach. Continue to Galle to explore its historic Dutch Fort. Overnight stay in Galle.
Day 10
Galle → Colombo via Bentota
